Healthy Food Choices That Can Make a Big Difference in How you Feel

The old saying, “you are what you eat,” may have more behind it than most people realize. The food that goes into your body on a daily basis will have serious affects on how you feel and how your body recovers throughout the day.

If you eat fast burning sugars and calories, you can certainly expect to feel drained and continually hungry. But there are also plenty of good food choices that will last throughout the day and have you feeling great. Here are some healthy food choices that can make a big difference on how you feel.

Whole Grains

There is a lot of talk out there about carbohydrates not being ideal for most people and how they can store in your body as unwanted fat. However, that typically refers to carbohydrates that come from white sugars. Instead, whole grains are great for giving you energy and also keeping your body in great shape. Furthermore, most whole grains have fiber in them, which helps digest other foods that are in your body.

Chia Seeds

Chia seeds have been used by some civilizations for thousands of years. Now, you can find them at your local grocery or vitamin store. Chia seeds can be put into nearly everything you eat, from your cereal to your dinner.

These seeds will give you a balanced level of natural energy, which can last throughout the day. Along with this energy, your metabolism will also increase, which will help you shred unwanted pounds.

Healthy Meat

There is no denying that you need to have some sort of protein in your diet. However, some people may steer away from meat for a variety of different reasons. That said, tuna, turkey, halibut and beef from grass fed cows can all be added to your diet to help you reach your daily protein goals.

These foods are much easier on the inter-working’s of your stomach and body, which means you’ll feel better throughout the day.

Fermented Foods

If you haven’t gotten on the kimchi trend yet, you are missing out. This Korean cabbage is just one of many healthy fermented food choices that can be added to a diet. Other options include yogurt, miso, kefir and more. All of these foods have healthy probiotics, which maintain healthy digestion in your body.

With just a few changes or additions to your diet, you can have a lasting affect on how your body feels. Be sure to consider some of these additions to your diet on a regular basis.
