Heart Attack: Symptoms, Diagnosis, Treatment, and More

Heart is a muscular organ that beats continuously in order to pump oxygen enriched blood to other cells of the body. Any kind of problem in normal functioning of the heart can cause life threatening conditions such as heart attack and other cardiovascular condition.

Heart attack or Myocardial infarction is a sudden, acute and serious condition that may arise due to building up of plaque like structure in artery. Plaque or clot contains deposits of fat, white blood cells and cholesterol. Many drugs are given in this condition such as Beta blockers, ACE inhibitors and other drugs.

Crestor is a Hypolipidemic drug that decreases the levels of cholesterol in body. Fat and cholesterol collectively forms a plaque that obstructs the blood flow.   • Discomfort in chest is one of the most prominent and mostly experienced signals. Recurrent pain in chest with feeling of squeezing, fullness or pain occurs. Pain initiates from the centre portion of the heart for few minutes and then it goes away.
  • Pain in upper body parts like arms, back, jaw, stomach and neck.
    Breath shortness is generally encountered along with chest pain or can even happen without chest pain.
  • Other signs and symptoms are severe anxiety, cold, excessive sweating, nausea and lightheadedness.

How One Can Avoid Heart Attack?

One can avoid the recurrent heart attacks by implementing few changes in lifestyle like eating low fat, limiting intake of salt and high cholesterol food. Work out regularly and keep check on your weight. Be a moderate drinker by limiting the intake of alcohol.

Regular monitoring with cardiologist is must for the evaluation of the complete health status. Be cautious if you are a diabetic patient; try to keep control over the blood sugar level. Quit smoking as it can worsen the condition.

Crestor An Effective Remedy

Crestor comprises of Rosuvastatin, a Hypolipidemic drug is generally prescribed in order to avoid the formation of clot in the blood vessels. Crestor acts by stopping the activity of the key enzyme HMG-CoA reductase needed for the formation of cholesterol synthesis.
