I don’t know about you, but we love tomato juice. It has so many vitamins and minerals in it; there are large amounts of vitamin K, A, C and the B vitamins. In addition, it’s a good source of minerals like iron, phosphorous and magnesium.


Did you also know that all of these vitamins and minerals are great for our skin and our health in general? I have listed several of these benefits below.

Regulates Bowel Movements

For many older people, keeping their bowel movements regular is pretty much impossible.  Believe it or not there is enough fiber in tomato juice to help keep you regulated.

The fiber in tomato juice also helps to keep you liver healthy and will aid in your digestion.

Rich Source of vitamins A and C

As I stated above, tomato juice is a great source of vitamins A, C and B.  These vitamins help our vision and they help strengthen our immune system. And finally, these vitamins help maintain our teeth and bones.

Breaks Down Homocysteine

We have something in our bodies called homocysteine, which causes heart disease by damaging our blood vessel walls.

The large amounts of vitamin B6 in tomato juice break down this compound and help prevent certain heart diseases.

Provides Lycopene

The red color of tomatoes comes from a fat soluble antioxidant called lycopene. Research has shown that lycopene protects us from certain types of cancer.

These cancers are breast, pancreatic, prostrate, lung, and colorectal cancer. Lycopene also helps prevent atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease.

Helps Prevent High Cholesterol

The fact that tomato juice is high in fiber helps break down the bad cholesterol in our bodies (ldl).


Aids Weight Loss

Because tomato juice is low in sodium and high in fiber it keeps you from feeling hungry and it provides the right amount of nutrients without many calories. The best part is that it does it without affecting your metabolic processes.

Tomato Juice for Hair

Due to the vitamins and iron, tomato juice is great for preserving and adding to the shine of dull hair. It will help bring to life damaged hair, as well as get rid of itchy scalp.

Apply fresh tomato juice to your hair and scalp after washing it and leave it on for approximately 4 to 5 minutes and then rinse with cold water.


Tomato juice has a detoxifying effect due to chlorine and sulfur. Our liver and kidneys are responsible for the detoxification of our body and for the body to remain healthy, it’s essential that these two organs remain in a healthy state.

Natural chlorine helps the liver and kidneys to function properly, while sulphur protects them from infection. As tomatoes are abundant in both, all you need is a glass of tomato juice.

Tomato Juice for Skin

Tomato juice provides a lot of benefits for the skin. It helps in shrinking open pores, it helps regulate secretion of sebum in oily skin, counters discoloration of skin and helps in treating and prevents acne.

Energizes the Body

Tomato juice is full of antioxidants, so it helps get rid of free radicals, which helps us stay young and energetic.
