Here is a list of some major symptoms related to fractured bones:

  • Heavy bleeding at the site of injury
  • Bone bulging through the skin
  • Deformity of the joint or limb if the injury occurred in the leg or arm
  • Bluish color, numbness, swelling in the injured area
  • Severe pain at the place of the injury and its condition gets worse with movement

Tips for First Aid for Fractures

Here are some general tips that you can follow to provide bone fracture first aid to the sufferer before you visit the hospital.

  • First of all, stop any bleeding. You need to apply pressure to the wound using a clean piece of clothing or a sterile bandage.
  • Secondly, it is important to immobilize the wounded area. Don’t try to push a bone or realign the bone that is sticking out back in. You can also apply a splint to the below and above the fracture sites if expert help isn’t quickly available.
  • You need to apply ice packs to the injured area, as this will limit swelling as well as help in relieving pain. However, make sure that you do not apply ice directly to the skin. Simply, wrap the ice in a piece of cloth or towel and then apply it.
  • If the person is breathing in rapid, short breaths or if he feels faint, immediately lay the person down, elevate the legs, and make sure that his head is slightly lower than the trunk. This process is known as shock treatment.

Recovering From A Fracture

There are different products that may help in the recovering process during a bone fracture, such as golfer’s elbow and tennis elbow. Lateral Epicondylitis, which is also known as Tennis elbow is basically the pain that affects the lateral epicondyle (an area of the elbow).

This condition is very painful that not only occurs during sport activities, but it may also be occurred during gripping activities, for example, using a screwdriver or a hammer. When you wear an elbow support brace, then this helps in preventing tennis elbow as well as reduce the signs if you have tennis elbow.

Medial epicondylitis, also known as golfer’s elbow, affects the medial epicondyle on the inward side of the elbow joint. This condition generally occurs due to overuse. A golfer’s elbow support or brace can be an excellent way of getting rid of pain associated with golfers elbow. There is an extensive range of elbow support braces offered by GPC Medical Limited.

In addition to elbow support braces, GPC Medical Limited also offers a number of other fracture aid tools for quick recovery and prevention, such as posture aid, rib belt, pouch arm sling and many others.
