How to keep the Natural Brightness of your Teeth

There are numerous ways to look nice and maintain your body in a good shape. Admittedly it requires a lot of efforts and daily care. Having white teeth is not an exception. Actually it is essential for the general expression of your face and it undoubtedly makes a really good impression.

The whiter teeth are a top beauty priority of everybody who is concerned about the his health and appearance.

However, there are too many factors that have a negative impact on their brightness – fizzy drinks, coffee, caffeine are the main cause for the bad condition of your teeth. Using an expensive and effective toothpaste is a part of the solution but actually it is not enough.

Here are some more tips on how to make your teeth incredibly bright.

Homemade ingredients

You have probably heard of the homemade ingredients such as a baking soda, salt and lemon juice, intended to make your teeth whiter. It may work but according to the dentists this method has extremely negative impact on the enamel.

As a matter of fact the damages caused by this improvised mixture is really destructive.

Whitening strips

Another, not so severe method for teeth brightness, is taking advantage of the modern methods such as whitening strips but their efficiency is controversial. The effect might not last longer than a week depending on the structure of your teeth.

Health habits

Having proper health habits might greatly improve the condition of your teeth even if you are genetically predisposed to caries or darker teeth. Here are some simple tips for keeping the natural beauty of your teeth.

  • The first step is the regular and what is most important- proper cleaning of your teeth. One of the things you learn at a very young age is that you have to spend around three minutes brushing your teeth with an appropriate, medium soft toothbrush. Using a mouthwash can prevent you from future troubles. It is not difficult to find a whitening one too.
  • Brushing your teeth after every meal is recommended but, of course, in most cases it is not possible. In this situation chewing gum can be the right solution. It will freshen your breath and remove the food left between the teeth. Same rule applies after smoking or drinking. It is even compulsory if you drink red wine which is said to be one of the main reason for darker teeth.
  • Another method is visiting the dentist on regular basis and eventually taking advantage of the procedure for teeth whitening. Most people who have undergone it say that it is not painful but the feeling itself is really unpleasant.

At the end of the day the only proven method for having teeth as white as snow is to give up on your bad habits such as smoking and drinking too much caffeine.

Rest assured that it will not only make your teeth brighter but it will have influence on your skin as well. Not to mention that when you quit smoking you will find that climbing a flight of stairs is not as tiring as it used to be.

Watch out about the quality of the product you use though. Don’t try to save money and use mediocre toothbrush or toothpaste. This tip is valid not only for your teeth but also in every aspect where your health is involved.
