Innocuous Anti Aging Skin Care Ingredients That Work Wonders

“Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the prettiest one of all?” our constant query to that mirror on the wall and want the answer to be ‘You’ all the time. None of us wants to look old, it’s true and ‘aging is a natural process’, is also an undeniable and immutable reality of the human body. We as humans are bound to age but it is happening at a very rapid pace.

A class of chemicals called sulphates have been used since the beginning of the 19th century, well over 100 yrs, and they are very harsh for our facial skin. They do get rid of the grime and the impurities but they are strong enough to leave our skin dry. Another chemical called paraben has been used for a fairly long time. They are preservatives and they contribute to compromising the integrity of our skin. One should always be cautious about the ingredients while buying the facial products.

Vitamin C:

Chemically known as Ascorbic acid, its deficiency leads to skin problems. It produces antioxidant to save the cells from the destruction caused by the free radicals. Vitamin C helps in making collagen which is a protein needed to help wounds heal. Collagen helps support tandems, ligaments and blood vessels to keep skin and other organs together. It is used in moisturizers and masks for adding natural glow to the skin.

It also helps reduce wrinkles and prevents sagging skin by improving elasticity. It shields our skin from the sun by protecting it from the UV rays and reduces sun burns and prevents consequences of long term sun exposure that leads to skin cancer. Hyaluronic acid:

It is one of the main components in connecting tissues hence increases the elasticity of the skin while providing significant hydration as well. found in all the tissues and organs in our body, this enzyme has its highest concentration found in the heart. It helps in energy production and is a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidant nature of this enzyme helps in mending the radical damages and fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of aging. It is used for owning a firmer, younger looking skin.

Green tea:

it calms down all the stress in your body. It’s significant at strengthening the capillary walls of the skin which is great for healthy glow. It also helps you burn calories. Green tea is a powerful antioxidant because it is rich in polyphenols. Besides being a skin toner, it is also used as a refreshing facial treatment. Rich in vitamin C & E, green tea fights free radicals which cause our bodies to age. It helps reduce and prevent acne, skin sagging and slows signs of aging. Studies have found that ingredients in green tea can minimize damage done by the sun and may also protect against skin cancer.

Ceramides:

very important part of the waterproofing of the skin lipids found in the cell membranes, ceramides are vital for smooth and supple skin as they help in holding the skin cells together. Ceramides form a protective layer that plumps the skin and retains moisture. A decrease in ceramide level as we age, leads to skin dehydration and an extensively damaged skin. Replenishing the skin’s ceramide levels will help in moisture restoration and embattling the skin’s natural hurdle, helping skin look and feel youthful.

Essential oils:

Oils such as rose oil and lavender oil kill bacteria that are responsible for acne. Coconut oil fills the molecules in the skin and keeps it plumped. The cold pressed rose hip seed oil counteracts all signs of aging and help moisturising and hydrating the skin. It also reverses the UV damage from the sun. Rose hip seed oil assists in getting rid of hyper pigmentation and maintains even skin tone.
