For some, swallowing their partner’s ejaculation could be an erotic activity and a thing of intimacy. While for others, they may find this activity unappealing and repulsive. For some, to swallow, they prefer to swallow while others are repulsive towards the idea of even having to touch it or see it. These are all various preferences of people, and their choices are to be respected.

However, there are some key benefits in having to swallow your partner’s semen. It is necessary to learn the contents of semen, and it’s natural advantages to the body.

Semen is made up of different constituents. About 80% of semen consists of water, and the remaining 20% contains amino acids, proteins, sugar constituents such as fructose and glucose, some mineral components such as zinc and calcium, vitamin C and some other vital nutrients.

Less than 1% of semen contains spermatozoa. Little wonder while there are quite many health benefits to swallowing semen ejaculate during sex or oral sex. It is no hidden fact that so many people wonder if it is safe to swallow semen or if the constituents are edible.

When semen is ingested into the body, it passes through the oesophagus and enters into the stomach where it will be absorbed and digested just the same way food is digested as well.

However, in some rare cases, there are times where a person can become allergic to semen due to the kind of proteins that are found there. When a person has this condition, the person is said to be experiencing seminal plasma hypersensitivity. It is not commonly seen among women; however, this doesn’t mean that ladies shouldn’t be aware of this fact.

Asides the numerous components of semen that we have just seen, semen could also act as a carrier of some specific things like infections and viruses. There is a considerable tendency that you will become a victim of STIs if you still take in the semen of a partner who has been infected with STDs which may have been left dormant for a period without being treated.

Normal semen has a weak alkaline taste, but then it can also vary from person to person. The essential property of semen which gives it a bitter taste causes it to have a bitter taste sometimes.

In as much as it varies widely, because of the sugar content, it can taste a bit sweet and sometimes it can taste a little bit salty. For some men who may have very sweet semen, this can be an indication of an underlying disease known as diabetes mellitus type 2.

During ejaculation, an average volume of semen may contain 2-5millimwters. It is normal to note that depending on the time it took for the last ejaculation to occur and how it was, the volume can increase.

This means the longer the time interval between this sex and the previous sex, the larger the volume of semen ejaculated. So don’t be surprised if the semen ejaculated is actually much. It could be as a result of the long time you have had sex.

What then are the health benefits of swallowing your partner’s semen during or after ejaculation?

1. Semen has been to be a natural antidepressant

During a survey that was carried out in a college at Suny Albany, about 293 ladies were tested after having sex; while some used condoms, others didn’t use. It was later discovered that for those who used condoms, they had a higher level of depression than those who didn’t use condoms.

Those who didn’t use condoms were seen to have better moods, experience brighter days as well as having a boost in their self-esteem. Those who used condoms were observed to have negative self-esteem, as well as experiencing a depressed mood.

It was also discovered that among the women who used condoms while having sex, they also were reported to be having suicidal thoughts. For those who weren’t used to using condoms, they rarely experienced suicidal thoughts.

This research helped us see that one of the health benefits of having sex without condoms or swallowing your partner’s ejaculation is that sex can function as an antidepressant. Among the contents found in semen, it has been observed that it contains a factor known as Nerve Growth Factor (NGF).

NGF has been seen to be a natural antidepressant and also it contains so many cognitive enhancing effects. Apart from NGF, semen also contains oxytocin, progesterone, TRH, serotonin, prolactin, and endorphins. All of these are known to have mood-enhancing effects.

2. Semen has an anti-anxiety effect

Among the hormones found in semen are oxytocin, progesterone as well as serotonin. These hormones are known as anti-anxiety hormones. Only a few people realise the effects of anxiety which can be derived as a result of oxidative stress.

Alongside anxiety, other products of oxidative stress are brain fog and severe fatigue problems. There are a variety of antioxidants found in semen which helps in reducing oxidative stress.

3. Semen can also act as a natural anti-inflammatory drug

Present in semen is several immuno-suppressants. The immuno-suppressants present in semen is present so as to protect the semen when it enters the woman. Among the anti-inflammatory substances present in semen are Nerve Growth Factor(NGF), oxytocin, progesterone, cortisol as well as testosterone.

4. Semen helps in boosting the levels of several hormones in the body

Due to the numerous hormones contained in semen, when they enter into a woman who is presently low in the levels of any one of the hormones present in semen, it will help in increasing the hormone in that woman.

For example, for a woman who is low in oxytocin, progesterone, melatonin, follicle-stimulating hormones(FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), Testosterone, Thyroid-releasing hormone (TSH) and so on, swallowing semen or having sex without condoms can give you a boost needed to increase the levels of this hormone in the body.

5. Semen can help reduce breast cancer

Research has discovered that semen may help reduce the risk of breast cancer in a woman. In fact, studies suggest that semen can reduce the risk by a whopping 50% and this effect has been attributed to be as a result of the presence of various proteins, selenium and TGF- beta which are all contents found in semen.

6. Semen is a powerful cognitive enhancing drug

Semen contains a potent substance known as Nerve Growth Factor (NGF). Nerve Growth Factor is very important for the growth, enhancement, maintenance as well as the survival of various parts of the neuron.

Due to the presence of this Nerve Growth Factor, the axon which is the part responsible for the transmission of electric signals is maintained and kept in structure. Apart from maintenance, it also helps the myelin sheath repair themselves.

One of the most abundant components found in semen is NGF. A recent research also discovered that in some female mammals, it had been seen to induce the release of ovaries which is otherwise known as ovulation. This helps to increase the fertility rate in women.

When there is a low level of NGF, it will cause anxiety and depression. If you have atherosclerosis, obesity, metabolic syndrome, or type 2 diabetes, then a specific indication is the low levels of NGF which would be present in one’s semen.

7. Semen helps reduce preeclampsia

There are some specific components such as TGF-beta which can be found in sperm and has been seen to induce oral tolerance. When a woman swallows her partner’s ejaculation, due to the TGF-beta, the woman will become tolerant to the proteins which are components of the man’s semen, and this has been found to reduce preeclampsia.

Another study also discovered that having oral sex with your partner and swallowing his ejaculation can cause safe pregnancy and also make delivery more comfortable and successful.

8. Semen is extremely nutritious

One surprising fact about semen is that it is loaded with quite a large amount of nutrients. In a single ejaculation of a normal semen, one can find about 0.25mg of zinc. In a healthy diet of food, a person gets more than 20 times that diet.

However, the body can only absorb 20% of dietary zinc. So if one is swallowing a partners ejaculation, you are getting that zinc back into your system hence your dietary zinc is complete.

Also found in semen are cholesterol, ascorbic acid, ammonia, carbon dioxide, protein, sodium, fructose, galactose, citrate, calcium, chloride, lactic acid, protein, magnesium, glucose, zinc, citric acid, copper, nitrogen, phosphorus, prostaglandins, lipids and so on.
