To fall asleep faster every night, make sure you’re lying on a quality mattress, such as a memory foam or hybrid mattress. You also want to ensure you have quality bedding that keeps you cool and limited distractions, such as loud noises and bright lights.

To combat these sleep disturbances, limit screen time at least 2 hours before bed, use blackout shades to block the morning light, and sleep with a white noise machine to drown out the hustle and bustle of the city.

2. Eat a variety of foods

The foods you eat energize you throughout the day. The human body requires more than 40 different nutrients to stay up and running, and no single food source contains every nutrient your body needs.

That’s why you need to eat a variety of goods, including whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and carbohydrates. If you have any dietary restrictions that prohibit you from eating certain foods, you may need to take natural health supplements to ensure you’re getting your daily dose of vitamins.

3. Get your daily exercise

Exercise is another way to ensure you’re living your healthiest life. If you haven’t heard, scientists are saying that sitting is the new smoking.

Living a sedentary life can cause a variety of adverse health consequences, such as cardiovascular diseases, obesity, high blood pressure, and depression.

5. Stay hydrated

As you know, humans can only survive a few days without water. If you’re not staying adequately hydrated, or if you’re only hydrating with sugary drinks, you could put yourself at risk of diabetes, heart disease, and other metabolic ailments.

To ensure you’re drinking enough water throughout the day, invest in a reusable water bottle. Not only will you feel more energized and alert, but you’ll be doing the planet a favor, too!

6. Get rid of unhealthy habits

Humans love habits. There’s nothing like having a set routine that allows you to flow through the motions of everyday life with ease.

However, we can sometimes form unhealthy habits, such as smoking or drinking alcohol excessively. If you have a bad habit, it’s time to quit. Whether you’re quitting cold turkey or starting a program, you’ll be thankful you started when you did.

Smoking can lead to cancer and other ailments, while alcohol can lead to liver and heart damage.

Many Americans think dieting is the only way to stay healthy and lose weight. However, this is far from true.

Studies have shown that dieting can be dangerous and cause more harm than good. Why? Yo-yo dieting, or going on a diet, quitting, dieting again, and quitting can actually lead to weight gain and an increased risk of diabetes. Instead of dieting, try living a healthy lifestyle.

This means eating in moderation, staying hydrated, exercising daily, and nourishing your body with enough nutrients.
