10 Fuel Foods for Tired Mornings

Some mornings when I get out of bed, I feel tired like I had worked all night and I can’t explain why. I concluded that waking me to the feeling of exhaustion could be a way of your body trying to tell you something. I have gathered together some foods that are sure to catapult you from feeling lazy to feeling super charged and ready to take on the day’s work.

A lot of people require a drink of multiple cups of coffee to keep them awake through the day and some others have decide to make energy drinks their best friend just so they can stay active and get the day’s work done. However, there is a healthier option and it is worth everything.

The quality and quantity of sleep you get is a major reason why you might wake up feeling beat up. If you choose to consume processed foods with plenty of added sugar just to pump you up, you have boarded the next available flight to sick town because it would only worsen your situation.

The fact is, mother nature has provided us with fruits and vegetables to fuel us and have us feeling active for longer so why punish yourself by feeding up junks and other stuffs that will destroy your system ultimately. Wondering what fruits and vegetables to take advantage of? here is the list

1. Avocados

The almighty avocado pear is one fruit that is rich is healthy vitamins, minerals, and fat that is sure to keep you active through the work day like you are super human.

They help to keep your blood sugar stable, they are rich is fiber, and they are a better option than the sugar filled drinks and junk foods you spend so much money purchasing.

You can add your avocados to a smoothie for a thicker feel, add it to your breakfast fruit plate, or pair it up with some eggs and get your body energized right away.

2. Water melon

Watermelon Seeds

You might not be aware that dehydration can cause you to wake up feeling tired but it sure can and you have to prevent it.

It is imperative that your diet contains foods (fruits and vegetables) that have high water content and watermelon is a very good option.

A watermelon fun fact is that it contains 90% water and is rich in essential vitamins and minerals, contains the L-citrulline amino acid, and contains antioxidants. Having a bowl of watermelons in the morning is a superb way to begin your day and remain hydrated and energetic.

3. Almonds

These darlings are a great source of monounsaturated fats, high quality of protein, fiber, and they are loaded with plenty of vitamin B which will help convert your foods to fuel for your body.

If you have been having muscle fatigue, almonds are rich in magnesium and can help tackle the problem. You can grab a handful and add it to your breakfast or make it amid-morning snack. I like to have some extra to munch while I work so it wouldn’t be too much if you do that too.

4. Kale

This is another power house of wonderful vitamins and nutrients with essential antioxidants that will keep you active through the day. If you have been looking for a plant based source of iron, this is the plant you have been hunting for.

Iron helps to transport oxygen to your cells and tissues which is vital to keep you thriving. Kale is also a wonderful source of B vitamins, calcium, and folate. Make this vegetable part of your breakfast and watch it do wonders.

5. Bee pollen

Don’t be surprised that this natural energizer made the list of super foods that can kick you up from feeling tired to becoming super active.

This sweet energizer is rich in amino acids, B vitamins, and an antioxidant known as rutin that is vital in supporting improving blood circulation, supporting healthy blood vessels, and fighting off inflammation. Make bee pollen a part of your breakfast and thank me later.

Eating Banana

Bananas are popular because they keep you energized and ready to have mind blowing sex but that’s not all. When you wake up feeling you need to get some extra energy, this fruit is the best option for you as it is easily accessible and provides the potassium and fiber needed to keep you feeling good.

Bananas are a rich source of Vitamin B, magnesium, and can be consumed in a variety of ways that will never make you bored.

Make sure to go for the yellow instead of the green ones as the yellow bananas are easily digestible and taste better. Throw bananas into your smoothie or have them eaten in full fingers before you get out of the house in the morning.

7. Spinach

Spinach

Spinach is a wonderful source of folate, vitamin C, and Iron. Adequate consumption of these vitamins and minerals is essential for energy production.

If you have a lower level of iron in your body, fatigue is almost inevitable so make sure to prepare your breakfast omelette with some of this and add it to your salad too.

8. Dates

These seeds are not only carriers of a rich sweet flavor, but they are easily digestible and provide instant energy just like your energy drinks.

Dates are a great source of magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, calcium, and iron. You can chop some and add them to your breakfast cereal or just chew on them as a nice snack.

9. Chia seeds

This is the part where I love to remind people not to rate a thing by it’s size. Chia seeds are a definition of the phrase “small but mighty”.

These tiny seeds are a wonderful energy source and they are great at soaking up fluids which helps them expand to as large as 10 times their size after they have been digested.

This explains why you get to feel full for longer when you eat them. They contain health fats, protein, fiber, vitamins and antioxidants.

10. Eggs

Egg Diet

I know you wouldn’t be surprised to see that eggs made the list as a single egg contains healthy fats and proteins which can keep you feeling full and energised through out the day.

Eating a whole egg daily is healthy for you and a great way to start your day. Did you know that eggs contain vitamin B12, vitamin D, iron and other essential vitamins and minerals? now you know.

There are different ways to include eggs into your daily diet so feel free take advantage of it.

Plus, if you are scared of consuming so much cholesterol, worry less because studies have revealed that there is no correlation between cholesterol from food and the one found in the blood. What are you waiting for? Start your mornings feeling energized with these wonderful foods.
